_ Flowline Connection Systems: Ancillary Equipment

The DMaC Flowline Connection System comes complete with a suit of support equipment in the form of Blind hubs, Blind Gaskets, Environmental Disconnection Covers, Fly To Place Blind Hubs, Flushing Blind Hubs, Debris Covers and Monitoring Hot stabs.

This equipment greatly enhances DMaC’s inherent ability to support system intervention operations in a safe and efficient manner
Blind Hubs

Blind hubs are designed to be long-term primary pressure retaining blanks for DMaC flowline porches. They can be installed as original equipment for later retrieval and include safety features to prevent removal if they are holding pressure. They can be installed at any time after initial installation by ROV. Blind hubs can also be used to provide alternative production routing. Versions are available that facilitate in field flushing operations avoiding the need to flush through production and test lines from the surface facility
Retrievable Seal Pate and Seal

Seal Plates can be changed in situ utilising ROV tooling. The facility for external pressure testing after make up, to verify sealing integrity, is incorporated in the seal plate assembly.

Blind Gasket

Blind Gaskets provide an alternative means of providing a primary barrier and are often used in place of a second valve.

Modified blind gaskets can be used as orifice plates to modify flowing conditions in liquid or gas pipelines
Protection Covers

Surface Fitted Covers: These are fitted to protect the DMaC hub, sealplate and gasket from damage and corrosion during flowline deployment prior to final subsea connection. Examples are listed below:

Standard Pressure Retaining Cover is a two-piece design with the inner cover remaining on the DMaC hub until just before make-up. The cover has an injection cone and valving to allow the jumper to be filled with corrosion inhibitor/biocide. The pressure rating is 152 psi (10.5bar), which allows for rapid filling and venting of the jumper.

Riser Cover is generally as standard cover but is fitted with a large bore ROV operated valve to allow riser flooding with seawater during deployment and subsequent rapid filling of riser with corrosion inhibitor/biocide.

Flushing Cover is generally as standard debris cover but is fitted with a large bore hot stab receptacle to allow ROV operated flushing of flowlines and subsea pipe work.

Environmental Disconnect Covers

These covers can remove the need for costly flushing operations that interrupt production. Designed to be lightweight for easy removal/replacement but capable of sealing against small pressures. These covers are used to prevent hydrocarbon leakage when previously used flowlines are being re-configured.
Monitoring Hot Stab

DMaC flowline connection system provides continuous leak monitoring detection utilising a syringe type device, which can be viewed by ROV
