| Project Experience: Oil Pipelines
INTEC experience with oil pipelines ranges from 3-inch diameter high pressure flowlines to large diameter lines up to 56-inch diameter, such as used for marine loading and offloading terminals. INTEC's experience includes:
- BP Mardi Gras Project - BP is developing new oil and gas transportation systems to support the development of four new deepwater GOM fields. In May 2000, BP awarded a contract to INTEC Engineering to perform preliminary engineering services for the deepwater portion of the Mardi Gras Pipeline System. The scope of work includes design of the deepwater pipelines and steel catenary risers (SCRs). The large pipeline diameters required to achieve the production throughput volumes, coupled with 4,000 ft to 7,200 ft (1,220 to 1,982 m) water depths, place the Mardi Gras Pipeline Project among the most demanding deepwater pipeline projects in the world.
- BP Horn Mountain Pipeline Project - INTEC scope included detail design of a 36 mile 10-inch oil export line with Steel Catenary Riser from a spar in 5,420 ft water depth to a fixed platform in 480 ft water depth. INTEC assisted BP for preparation of procurement packages, HAZID and HAZOP studies.
- Shell Bonga Project - INTEC scope of work included detailed design in association with Stolt Offshore of ten 10- and 12-inch flowlines, three water injection lines and produced oil SPM export system.
- Exxon Diana / Hoover Pipeline Project - INTEC was responsible for preliminary engineering of a 20-inch diameter oil export line, originating in 600 ft (183 m) water depth in the Gulf of Mexico to landfall near Freeport, Texas.
- Pogo Tantawan Pipeline Project - INTEC performed feasibility studies and detailed engineering for field development of gas, crude oil and condensate pipelines between PLEM and an FPSO. INTEC also prepared bid and contract documentation for fabrication activities.
- Mobil Zafiro Field - INTEC was responsible for specification, selection and supervision of FPSO flexible flowline system.
- Shell Angus Green Canyon Block 113 Flowlines - INTEC provided technical coordination, system engineering and interface control for a four oil well subsea system tied back to the Bullwinkle platform via two 8-inch multiphase flowlines configured in a piggable loop.
