Engineering Design and Construction Management of Marine Pipelines and Risers have been one of INTEC's core activities since the company was formed in 1984. Today, INTEC designs pipelines in depths exceeding 10,000 ft (3,000 m), provides deepwater riser solutions and has unsurpassed experience in the industry for the design of insulated pipe-in-pipe systems. INTEC provides the oil and gas industry with effective technological solutions to hydrocarbon production and transportation in the extreme depths of the world's oceans.

A primary emphasis has always been on pipeline applications in frontier areas, notably arctic and deepwater environments; and also for unusual service conditions such as high temperatures, aggressive fluids and complex fluid rheology. These specialized technologies are firmly established within INTEC's broad experience with practical design and installation technology needed for cost effective completion and operation of marine pipeline facilities in all environments. As a result, INTEC holds an impressive record of past projects for deepwater pipelines and risers, long distance transmission pipelines for oil and gas service, large diameter crude oil loading lines, deepwater high pressure flowlines, insulated flowlines for high temperature fluid transport and arctic pipeline applications.
