FTP Umbilical Connector Inboard Assembly:
The inboard assembly comprises of two main items, the docking funnel and the mounting plate. The docking funnel is used to guide the outboard probe into place, during the first stage of the alignment sequence.
At the centre of the mounting plate to which the hydraulic couplers and/or electrical connectors are mounted, there is a slotted profile, which matches the head of the Retlock connector nose. Either side of this slotted profile are the short dowel pins or holes which mate and aid final alignment of the receptacles or alignment pins respectively.
The complete inboard termination is mounted to the host subsea structure via screw fasteners.
